Hey, y’all!
Its been a hot minute since we’ve updated everyone on how our lives have been going, so we thought we’d share a little with a life lately update. If you’ve been following our Instagram stories, then you know we’ve had a lot of personal changes lately.
The biggest change we experienced was moving from our old apartment on Southside to a wonderful little home in the heart of Homewood! It was sad saying goodbye to the place where we shared our first kiss, the first place we called home together, and where we started Katie & Alec Photography. So many memories were held in that sweet little apartment, and we’re so thankful for our time there. It was definitely time for a change though, and moving is going to open up so many new opportunities for us. We really are so excited though to have our home in such a cute part of the city. Plus, we love being so close to everything from the creamery, where we meet our clients, to Target being literally 3 minutes away (that one’s been a little rough on our wallets haha)! We’ve still got a ton of unpacking & decorating to do but we can’t wait to share some photos when it’s all finished!
In March, we also celebrated our two-year anniversary of adopting our cat, Dixie the kitty! We can’t believe it’s been that long, but we sure are thankful for her. She’s been such a blessing as we’ve transitioned to working from home. Let’s just say it’s been two years full of cat hair on everything, funny cat stories, and a whole lot of sweet cuddles! Speaking of funny cat stories, the first thing she did in our new house was run right up the chimney… we totally didn’t see that one coming! So if anyone has any tricks on how to keep her from trying to run away, we’d appreciate suggestions.
We also had the joy of shooting so many beautiful engagement sessions and a great local wedding! Cayce & Duvergne’s day at B&A Warehouse couldn’t have been any prettier! It’s been such an honor to work with so many incredible couples, and we’ve been reminded again and again why we love our job! It’s amazing watching each couple as they journey through their engagement season into the blessing that is marriage. We’ve been pinching ourselves all month between how awesome & fun our couples are and how we can’t believe we’re in our new house!
