Hey y’all!
It’s been a CRAZY past month and a half! We’ve been all over the state, spent some time working on the new house, and kicked off our busiest season of the year. It’s been such a busy time in our lives, but we wouldn’t trade it for anything because its brought us so much joy. Let’s just say we’ve had a lot of diet coke and necessary naps to keep us going (which we’re totally okay with)!
Before this all started, we knew we were about to have hectic schedules. We planned ahead and took a weekend to rest up for wedding season in Chattanooga (one of our favorite places). It was our first trip in a long time where it was just the two of us! It was so refreshing and packed full of fun. We’re huge Chattanooga fans and even went there for our honeymoon and we always love going back. From exploring the Hunter Museum, riding bikes around the city, and eating enough fried green tomatoes for a lifetime it was just what we needed. We even had a beautiful engagement session that ended our trip with sweet Sammy & Laura. Soon, we’ll be sharing a full recap of our trip and our favorite things to do in Chattanooga, so be on the lookout.
The next week we started full on wedding season with 4 weddings in two weeks. It all started with Kylie & Kyle’s Auburn wedding (which was totally gorgeous!!!). Including that wedding we’ve traveled all over the state this month from Gulf-shores to Tuscaloosa to shoot and it’s been so much fun! It’s been a lot of miles under our belt for one month to say the least. We’ve been so thankful for the opportunity to travel for our job & for our absolutely phenomenal couples who make it worth doing! Just wait until we share the rest of these amazing weddings 🙂
Another huge celebration for us was having Brooke & Daniel’s wedding featured on Alabama Wedding Magazine’s blog! Brooke & Daniel created a truly stunning wedding for their family & friends to celebrate with them. We love seeing our couples celebrated and their days honored by amazing publications like this because they deserve it after all their hard work planning.
On more of a personal note, we’ve spent a lot of time working on our new house. Our place is a 1940’s house with the original flooring, porch, etc. so we’ve had quiet a bit to work on updating the space. This past week we even took the time to plant some gorgeous new flowers in our flower bed (and we aren’t outdoors people, y’all!!). It’s a lot to learn & to take care of but we’re slowly adjusting. We’ve loved having a space we can host friends & family in. We love having people over so its been a huge joy finally having a space that fits our needs! Besides the house, we’ve also made a big personal discovery: we actually like the Office. Somehow we just found out we like it, although it did take us skipping the entire first season to get into it. Ever since we found out Katie may or may not be binge watching it while working (basically 24/7 y’all) hahaha!
