Last month was CRAZY. Like, wow, how did we fit all that in to one month? Typically we do a life lately post to keep you updated but with so many giant milestones we figured we’d cut right to the chase. Last year was a year of really high highs and truly low lows. December was a culmination of so many of those moments and it hit us like a bag of bricks. We’re thankful to say though that it was a month of thankfulness and a month of huge changes! Here’s just a few of the biggest things that happened to us in December:
We Adopted Another Kitty
Yep, after months of talking about it and Katie begging Alec it finally happened! She’s super shy and calm so we’re still in the “getting to know you” phase. Dixie isn’t the biggest fan either, but she may have a case of only child syndrome 😉 Also, she still won’t let us near her with our real cameras so our Iphones have had to make do!
Alec Celebrated 6 Months Seizure Free
If you had told us 2 years ago that we would be telling you this we would have thought you were nuts! The doctors said it wasn’t possible, and yet our God is bigger!!!! It’s been such a joy seeing Alec heal from his surgery and walk in freedom. We’re feeling so incredibly blessed every day he continues to go seizure free!
We Bought A New Car
This was another one of those things we had talked on and on about. We knew we wanted something far more safe with Alec back on the roads and the time came. So we went and bought this beautiful new 2018 Honda Accord a few days after Christmas! It’s been a great car already and we are so excited it is allowing Alec to stay safe and have the freedom to get around on his own (what a blessing, y’all!!)
2017 was so good to us and we can’t wait to see what all 2018 has in store. If God can take a year that started out with so much fear, uncertainty, and desperation and turn it around for our good and His glory we know 2018 is set! Thank you to everyone who supported & encouraged us this past year. We love you and wouldn’t be where we are without you!
