With your wedding coming up we know there are so many things vying for your time and your money. Let’s be real here, weddings are SO expensive! We totally get that. So, how do you know where to splurge vs. where to save some money? While we can’t walk you all the way through your wedding budget as a wedding planner can, we can suggest a few areas we know are worth splurging in. These suggestions are ones we’ve seen be tried-and-true time and time again and we know they’ll benefit you immensely! Your Bouquet
Even if your budget for flowers is pretty small you need to invest more into your bouquet & your groom’s boutonniere than your wedding party flowers. Your personal bouquet will be in almost ALL of your flowers. That means you better love them! It’s worth the splurge to make sure you get photos you love that look gorgeous & luxurious, even if you’re on a tight budget. Plus, you can use it as decor for your cake or sweetheart table during the reception!
Your Dress
Much like your bouquet, your dress will be in EVERY single photo of you! That’s a big deal! While you don’t need to blow your whole budget on it it’s still so important to get a great dress you love!
Your Photographer
We may be a little biased about making sure you have a great photography team you love but there are more reasons than one. After your wedding day is over you’ll be left with very few reminders of your big day. Your photos will be a solid, sweet reminder of every joyful, exciting memory from that day. Think of your photos as an investment in your first family heirlooms! You’ll carry these images with you the rest of your marriage and pass them down to your children and grandchildren. That’s a pretty HUGE deal! So choose wisely and don’t skimp!
A Wedding Planner
This one is a no-brainer to us now that we’re wedding aficionados! Back when we were engaged though it seemed silly and made us laugh because we didn’t want to fit that into our budget. It’s the one thing we hear bride after bride says in retrospect, that they wish they would have hired a planner. Wedding planners do more than just help plan your wedding. They are there to relieve your stress, provide insight, suggest beautiful ideas, and so much more. They’ll make your day more beautiful, fun, and easy for you. They’re worth their weight in gold!

Your Perfume
This one is probably the simplest splurge on our list but it’s also the sweetest! We suggest buying a new perfume just for your wedding day. For one thing, it’s a great detail to give your photographer. Second, wearing it after your wedding will remind you of your big day and just why you bought it instantly transporting you back to some of your favorite memories. It’s a simple luxury that will become a sweet way to bring back memories of your wedding day!
