You know that feeling when something was so fun and so memorable it feels like it was a dream? One you don’t want to wake up from? That feeling is exactly what Meghann & Eli’s day was like. Perfect weather, stunning details, incredible friends, and an overall perfect day was how we would describe their wedding… and then some!!
They wanted to have a fun, laid-back celebration for their wedding and that’s exactly what they got. It was all about creating a genuine experience for their guests and making a whole weekend out of it by choosing to have it at Lake Lanier. Their venue housed nearly all their guests so the party started Friday and continued through their ceremony Saturday and right into Sunday. It was unlike any other wedding we’ve been a part of in the best of ways!
They said “I do” in the garden behind the venue with those closest to them. They chose a dear friend to officiate and he knocked it out of the park. Once Meghann came down the aisle they prayed and then he had them turn to face their guests. He said, “Soak it in and take in all the people who love you, all the joy you feel right now, and don’t forget it.” In this powerful moment, the day stopped and they did just that. They looked around and had the biggest grins on their faces! The day they had long awaited was finally here and it was amazing 🙂
The rest of their night was spent eating & talking with everyone and it was so relaxed! It was the perfect way to end a pretty wonderful day! Now they’re off at Seaside enjoying the beach and honeymooning it up! Meghann & Eli, all we can say is WOW!!! It was such an honor being your wedding photographers and getting to experience the day with you! You two have the best personalities and your love just radiates. We’re praying for years of joy together and that you’ll always remember just how amazing y’all are together!
Blessings,
Katie & Alec
