One of the first things people always ask us is, “how did y’all get into photography.” Its so interesting to people that we have made a career out of what some consider a hobby or a side gig. We always giggle & look at each other because we totally get it. We’re weird, entrepreneurs making our own unique way in the world.
We love our jobs though & wouldn’t choose to do anything else besides being wedding photographers!! It’s one of our favorite things to do in life and it brings us a ton of joy. Beyond that though, we genuinely feel it’s a calling & that through this we’re living out our God-given purpose. Every week we get the honor of walking alongside couples as they enter into marriage. There are so many facets to this job that we LOVE & we thought we’re share with you today since it’s one of our most asked questions!
Seeing Marriage Celebrated
Wedding days are so unique. It’s one of the only times in life where everyone you love is in one place celebrating and meeting one another. Witnessing that kind of celebration for a couple’s marriage is everything to us. We believe so whole-heartedly in marriage and believe it deserves to be celebrated & supported with everything we’ve got!
Getting to Know Couples
OH Y’ALL. This one is such a big one!! We genuinely believe we work with the best couples in the world!!! K&A couples have our hearts and we love getting to know them through the wedding process. Each one has such a unique & beautiful love story. Some are incredibly funny, others humble & kind, they’re all just all around amazing!! We could keep going for days on this one but we love meeting so many fabulous people.
Experiencing the Joy
It’s not lost on us that every couple who chooses us to photograph their wedding is allowing us into some of their most sacred moments. We get to witness the joy as a bride gets in her wedding dress, the emotions of their first look, tears shed out of pure happiness… It really doesn’t get better than watching our couples experience that level of joy!
Creating Lifelong Memories as Wedding Photographers
This one hits us hard time-and-time-again. When we step behind the camera on a wedding day we’re documenting photos, memories that will outlive us. These photos are instant family heirlooms & we know they’ll be passed down to future generations. Knowing we’re creating something that will last & serve our couples for their whole lives is an amazing honor.
Really, we could go on for days about why we LOVE being wedding photographers. All we can say is as long as God allows we plan on keeping this dream alive!! We can’t wait to see where this business takes us & how it grows over time.
