We love watching home makeover or building shows like Fixer Upper or Extreme Home Makeover. There is just something so fascinating about seeing a home come to life! The process, the tough choices, and that crazy amazing end result. We can’t get enough! So, we decided to share our own home building story. So, from the day we chose to build to the final product we’re sharing it right here on the blog:
#4 Why We Chose New Construction
Yes, you read that right, friend!! We are officially ONE month away from our closing date!!!! To say we’re excited/ready to move would be a huge understatement. After 6 months of building, praying & watching this little lot become a home we’re finally in the home stretch.
Right now all that is left are a few cosmetic things inside like faucets, carpet & door knobs being installed. Outside we’ve got a ways to go with the driveway needing to be poured, the landscape needs to be done & our front porch is about to be worked on. Besides that, we’ve got a ton of inspections to go through just to make sure everything is up to code.
That might sound like a lot, but not to us. After how long we’ve waited and how much has changed this seems like nothing at all!!
Mainly, we’re just so excited to see how God blesses our home. We’ve prayed that this will be a space that will bless others. We can’t wait to host small groups, parties, etc here. It seriously just gets us so excited knowing we’ll be living here in 30 short days 🙂
