It wasn’t her stepping into her dress, it wasn’t when she got to the venue… no, the moment it hit Emmy that she was finally marrying Jacob was looking at her bridesmaids. She was surrounded by people who love her & Jacob and that sunk in deep. Pure joy rushed through her and the tears started flowing. They had waited patiently for this very moment for years.
Jokingly, almost everyone they know had been saying they had basically already been married. They had met in high school and started dating. Together they experienced proms, football games, and youth group meetings not knowing just where it all would lead. Then they went off to Auburn together and kept growing in love & their commitment to one another. Now here they were, dressed in wedding clothes, ready to seal what they had already felt for so long.
In the perfect fusion of peachy fall colors, gorgeous weather & so much love they finally made it forever. Right under an epic oak tree at Dogwood Farms, surrounded by loved ones from near & far, they became husband and wife… and it was perfect!!
Honestly, there were just so many parts of their wedding we loved that it’s almost too hard to pick: Emmy resting her head on her dad’s shoulder as she walked down the aisle… How they honored her families Kenya heritage in the ceremony & reception… Seeing just how much the two of them love one another with wild abandon.
Blessings,
Katie & Alec
