Sonnet House Wedding for S+C

Moments before the first look, Samantha told us that Connor thought he might cry. She had never seen him cry before and wasn’t sure if it would happen; she was just excited to see him either way. Plus, they hadn’t planned on a first look when they started planning but decided they wanted to because it sounded so intimate and sweet. As she stood on the back porch of the Sonnet House, joyfully waiting for him to see her, the emotions were setting in. He turned around and saw her in her wedding dress for the first time, and tears started welling up, and he couldn’t hold them back. It was a private, meaningful moment for the two of them to soak in the raw emotion of the day they’d waited for so long.

Later in the day, we asked them what their favorite part of the day was individually, and it took them no time at all to say “the first look.” It warmed our hearts getting to hear how much they enjoyed those precious moments together before the busy day continued on. Moments like this are what make life so worthwhile.

Their wedding day was the quintessential Southern dream wedding with shades of blush and blue. Between the beauty of the Sonnet House, the gorgeous spring weather, and their incredible friends and family, it was the culmination of so much love and joy for them. From their emotional first look to their epic outdoor reception, it was perfection through and through. We couldn’t imagine a more stunning wedding day or a better couple to celebrate than Samantha + Connor!
