Nick and Maria are an absolutely incredible couple. The love between them is pure and so grounded. When I first met Maria I could tell there was something so special between them. She told me they were planning the simplest wedding they could with a backyard ceremony in Chelsea, Alabama with only their closest family and friends there with them. To us, it sounded wonderful.

Their wedding day was just what they have planned, full of family and friends with some beautiful moments honoring those gone before them. Her mother presented Maria with a locket that her grandmother had worn on her wedding day and left to her when she passed away. Maria also honored her brother who had passed away by keeping a piece of him present with her by bringing his favorite hat. Both were emotion-filled mementos that made her wedding day that much more meaningful as she walked into marriage with the love of her life.

Nick was so calm during the entire day and you could see the joy he had when he saw his bride. Before the ceremony he spent time with his closest friends watching his favorite football team, Georgia (and he may have gone and made sure to watch the end of the game during the reception!). The reception even featured beautiful homemade Georgia cookies and his favorite football memorabilia.

Overall, the day was beautiful and overflowing with love. The love and joy they shared is captured in their images and they’ll be one of our favorite weddings we’ve had the honor of capturing. Nick & Maria, you guys are awesome and we know that married life is going to bless y’all abundantly!
