On a trip back to the South in 2014 John had come to town to celebrate Thanksgiving with family. Little did he know that trip would be the start of what he described as “the beginning of the end of my bachelor life.” In an attempt to have a little fun with friends he went to visit a good buddy. When he walked into his house there was Kirsten and John was instantly smitten. To his dismay he found out she was taken and he didn’t try anything out of respect.
Flash forward to the following year when John came back to town again to go to Auburn’s kick-off game with friends. The plan was to drive to Atlanta with his good friend & his wife so they could all go together. When he met up with them they had not only luggage in tow, but also the beautiful Kirsten he’d crushed on the year before. This time around she was single and he wasn’t letting his chance go by. So, he flirted with her and made sure to spend as much time with her as possible. Between the car ride up and getting to Atlanta they started to get to know each other. Things were going well & he knew it was now or never so he walked up to her nervously the next day and told her “I’m crushing on you real hard.” How cute is that?! Even more cute was her response, “I can work with that!”
The rest of the day they stayed together and continued talking, until 4am. John had to leave the next morning and they didn’t want it to end. That day started it all though and they continued talking, then dating, and now they’re engaged! We are so excited for this sweet & adorable couple and can’t wait to see them promise each other forever this coming April! For now, enjoy their gorgeous engagement session and general cuteness when they’re together 🙂
