Meet the Morgans: A Birmingham Inspired Wedding

Sitting at the creamery over ice cream & good conversation we remember being struck with awe when we met Amanda & Jarrod. Right from the beginning of our first meeting we could tell they were different. It wasn’t in anything they intentionally did or said, but in the purpose behind how they were planning their wedding that got us. For most couples it comes down to the venue, the date, or a myriad of other random factors combined that typically don’t have much more meaning that their desire for them. These two were vastly different though. There was so much prayer & thought that went into every little detail of their day.

Yes, they were excited about those little things, but they had chosen their date for one of the sweetest reasons: they wanted to be a family in time for Christmas. You see, Jarrod has two of the most incredible little girls, Maddie & Lizzie. To Amanda & Jarrod that was the deciding factor for their wedding. More than once we heard Amanda say “I envision a lot of the day being about them, just as much as it is Jarrod and I.”Even in planning they wanted a special time for photos of just the four of them, which is something we were more than happy to oblige.

It was a huge honor for us to not only witness the two becoming one, but also their marriage creating a new family. Amanda adores those little girls, and if you hang around them for more than a few minutes you know they’re crazy about her. Throughout the day they would say “you know I’m her daughter now, right?!?” The pride from those little girls in bringing Amanda into their family will melt your heart! We can’t wait to see how their little family grows together and we’re so excited that they’ll be spending this Christmas as the Morgans!!
