Back when Jay was a kid, years ago, he and his family made their way to Camp McDowell. Every year it seemed they would go and adventure together. Waterfalls, cabins, arts & crafts and so many more things impressed themselves into the memories of his youth. So, when he Francie had to decide where to go for engagement photos the decision was easy. His home away from home. One of his favorite places.
It taught us that when a couple asks us to join them on an adventure for their engagement session at a meaningful location for them you always say “YES!!!” We had no clue just how incredible it would be at Camp McDowell! The land at the camp is enchanting and made us feel like we weren’t in Alabama anymore. It felt like we were in the pages of a fairy-tale! Jay’s love for the place made so much sense when we got to take it in first hand.
Getting to explore it all with them was a blast! We hiked from spot to spot, walked more stairs than we thought we could, and got to know more about this sweet couple. They’re so funny & kind, and oh man if they aren’t the best together!! Both of them have such generous and gentle personalities. It shines through their actions and into their speech and we’re just so darned excited they’re a Katie & Alec couple! It’s people like them who make our job so rewarding and fun. Francie & Jay, we can’t wait for y’all’s wedding day!! If it’s half as amazing as y’all are it will be the best ever!
