Four years ago we met Brian & Kristen when we photographed their wedding! Their day came and went beautifully but meant our time working with them was over, at least we thought… When they reached out to us to photograph their family session this month we were ecstatic!! Most of the time we don’t shoot family sessions but for our Katie & Alec couples we will always make an exception 🙂 We couldn’t wait to see them again and meet their precious baby girl, Lyla!
It was so great getting to see the Edwards family and to hear all about their lives now. So much has changed all around but they’re just as incredible as ever. Getting to see them as parents is especially sweet. They’re so smitten with their sweet girl and the parent life clearly suits them well! The way they smile and dote on her is too much to handle! It’s just so darned precious!
We don’t blame them though, Lyla is stinking adorable! Between her rosy cheeks, her bright blue eyes and those chunky baby thighs she’s the cutest thing ever!! Plus, she’s the best little baby and didn’t cry once the whole time we were photographing her. Y’all, that’s a miracle of sorts! Just wait until you see the little outfit they put her in too, so cute!
Sessions like this one make us even more thankful for this amazing job of ours! It’s such a blessing to walk with couples through their engagement season and on into marriage. Getting to watch our couples thrive as married couples and then as parents is extra sweet. Kristen and Brian are an amazing example of that!
