Zane reached out about shooting his proposal in Pisgah, Alabama. It’s a small town we’d never heard of before right off the Tennessee River. After you leave the interstate you wind down old country roads until you find a private neighborhood. As you drive in, the first thing you see is the incredible overlook. In the center of the neighborhood lies a large white home with a huge front porch on both the top and bottom levels. It was there that Abby had always wanted him to propose.
After more than seven years together Zane finally made her dream come true. He brought her out to the overlook and down to the stunning all-white Pavillion. There she found a ring of white rose petals and turned to see Zane down on one knee. With Christmas music playing in the background and a cool winter breeze she said “yes!” As onlookers we kept thinking how their proposal played out like the dreamy ending of a Hallmark Christmas movie. The romance, the gorgeous views, the epic location… it was just so perfect for them!
What we didn’t know would happen, and what Zane couldn’t have planned was how it all ended. After she said “yes” and they enjoyed some champagne, the owner of the property came out. They had just wrapped up a neighborhood Christmas event and had a horse and carriage there. As a surprise, they asked the owner of the carriage to stay for one more ride, and Zane & Abby rode off to the sound of horse shoes on the pavement and jingle bells. It truly was a magical Christmas moment!
It was such an honor for us to help Zane make Abby’s dream proposal come true. They’re so kind and were incredibly sweet to us. Getting to shoot in Pisgah was so refreshing too with how dreamy of a spot it is! We’d happily shoot there every day of the week if we could! Someone please take us back for a wedding day there!
