With wedding videos, it can be a little hard not to feel like we’re repeating our sentiments from the photo blogs. So, we wanted to share a few of Virginia + Shelby’s hopes for their wedding day and film that can show you a little behind-the-scenes of how our video approached this day at the Barn at Shady Lane! Every video we shoot is different, and the editing process is completely tailored to suit our couples.
If you could sum up how you want your wedding day to feel using three words, what would they be?
Sweet, memorable, fun…and maybe a bit ridiculous in some moments!
How do you want your wedding guests to feel on your day?
You know that feeling when everyone is home for the holidays? It’s just a happy feeling because everyone has come together to celebrate something, and there is nowhere else to be and nothing else to worry about. There is a special feeling that comes that I can’t put into words when the family gathers together.
What are some fun facts about you that may help us to understand who you are and what you like so we can tailor your film to you even more?
Family and friends are so important to us. I want as many sweet/emotional moments as well as silly/goofy, ridiculous moments as you can capture. The best memories we both have come from when we gather with friends and family and mess around. My family (meaning cousins) live so far away from each other, but we are so close because we have 2 special places where we gather together each year. These places include a New Hampshire summer camp and a lake house in upstate New York. When we come together, it feels like we have never been apart. It’s a homey feeling. I specifically chose the colors and theme of our wedding to match these two places. You will see dark green and wood to match the trees of the Adirondack woods and birch bark, which are my favorite and abundant trees in those areas.
