The sun was setting over the lush green hills at SpringHouse as Avery and Preston’s officiant prayed over them one last time. As they opened their eyes, Preston leaped into action, leaning in to kiss Avery, his WIFE! What he didn’t know was that the officiant had only taken a moment to move out of the way, and moments after the kiss, he pronounced them as husband and wife, telling Presont he could kiss his bride.
Without hesitation, he laughed and leaned back in for one more triumphant kiss. It was a moment of pure joy, one they’ll tell future generations about as they grow old together.
Avery & Preston’s Lush Summer Wedding at SpringHouse on Lake Martin
We had the absolute honor of documenting Avery and Preston’s wedding at the breathtaking SpringHouse and Willow Point Country Club on Lake Martin. With lush green landscapes, dreamy summer light, and a palette of navy and light blue, their day felt both vibrant and deeply personal, just like them.
SpringHouse is one of our favorite Lake Martin venues for a reason. The natural beauty made every moment shine, from lakeside portraits to their joyful, starlit reception. The entire day overflowed with laughter, heartfelt moments, and the kind of memories that last a lifetime.
Their Story: From Auburn to “I Do”
Avery and Preston’s love story began at Auburn University. As Avery sweetly shared, “We met through a mutual best friend. The first time we met, I thought he was weird, so we didn’t hit it off for a few months.” Thankfully, their story had more chapters to write. After navigating long-distance during COVID, they reunited at Auburn and officially started dating in the fall, and the rest is history.
Preston’s proposal was picture-perfect: a rooftop moment at the Canopy Hotel in Dallas, surrounded by both families. “It was so sweet and so perfect,” Avery said. “I couldn’t have imagined anything more us.”
The Wedding Day
From their teary first look to dancing beneath twinkle lights, Avery and Preston’s day was pure joy. Avery’s gown floated in the breeze, florals popped against the classic navy of the bridal party, and the energy never faded. Their people showed up, danced with great enthusiasm, and celebrated with immense heart. It was the kind of wedding that reminds us exactly why we love what we do.
