A Romantic Proposal at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens
There are few things we love more than capturing proposal stories, and Peter and Claire’s Birmingham Botanical Gardens proposal was one we’ll never forget. As Birmingham proposal photographers, we get to witness so many incredible moments, but this one was truly special.
Peter planned the sweetest surprise while juggling a big move himself—from the Midwest to Nashville! Meanwhile, Claire is a newer resident of Birmingham, still settling into the city she now calls home. Choosing the iconic Rose Garden at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens was the perfect way to ask one of the most important questions of his life.
As the sun set, the gardens glowed with golden hour light, making the moment picture-perfect. When Peter got down on one knee, Claire was completely shocked—in the best way possible. Her smile didn’t leave her face for a second, and the joy in her eyes said it all.
After she said “yes,” Peter kept hugging her and saying, “I just love you so much.” It was one of those tender, genuine moments that make proposal photography so meaningful.
Being part of their proposal was such an honor for us. Every detail—the golden light, the laughter, the happy tears—told their story beautifully.
