Nate and Maria both live and work near Sibyl Temple on the mountain in Vestavia Hills. Even with it being a constant sight in their day-to-day lives, neither of them had ever been to the actual monument at all. This gave Nate the perfect way to work in a surprise element to their proposal, with the location being a spot they promised to visit together one day soon.
As they mounted the top of the hill, the surprise hit Maria, and she realized in that moment what was about to happen. Watching the joy wash over her and the total shock was so much fun- he really did surprise her! Standing there at Sibyl Temple overlooking the city they fell in love in, he got down on one knee and asked her the most life-changing question- and she said “yes!”
He couldn’t have picked a more beautiful day or spot to propose. It was peak fall beauty here in Alabama with the bluest skies and a slight breeze (sheer perfection if you ask us!). There truly aren’t many prettier spots in Alabama to propose than Sibyl Temple. Not to mention the fact he had us set up gorgeous baby pink rose petals around them for the big moment, and oh yeah, he had the most perfect ring…
When we asked about the ring, they told us they designed the radiant-cut beauty together from Diamonds Direct. Given that it’s something she’ll wear for the rest of her life, they wanted to make sure it was a piece that would stand the test of time. The thought of that is so clever and makes the idea of shopping together make total sense. Plus, just look at how gorgeous her ring is- they did an amazing job creating it!
