Channing walked down the long yellow bridge with Chase taking in the beautiful views of the waterfall. He slipped a carefully folded letter out of his pocket as they walked and handed it to her. He had filled the letter with the kindest, most thoughtful words that spoke to his genuine love for her. She stood there reading each word, soaking in the beauty of the moment.
As she finished the letter, she looked up to Chase, getting down on one knee. He pulled out a diamond ring, and the emotion of it all brought her to her knees. She curled onto his knee and cried the happiest tears. This was a moment they’d both waited for for so long, and it was perfect in every way!
Chase did such an impeccable job planning this surprise with us hiding down by the waterfall and their families up on a nearby trail. It made the moments after so much sweeter as their families cheered them on and gushed over the ring. Getting to witness that joy between the two of them was electric, and it shows in their photos. They were all smiles and laughter!
Their proposal was a dream, and we’re so thankful we got to play a small part in preserving those memories for them. Hopefully they will always look back on them and feel that same rush of love, joy, and life when they see them.
We also loved getting to shoot somewhere new to us and so beautiful! We don’t think anyone would have guessed this gorgeous waterfall was hiding behind rolling cow pastures here in Alabama. Thankfully, we always show up early to get into hiding before a proposal, so we had plenty of time to take in the amazing view! So, someone, please give us a reason to go back.
