Miriam & Matthew grew up together going the same church. They would hang out together at church activities constantly which lead to a natural friendship. For years their relationship was just that, a friendship. That was until their Junior year of high school when Matthew finally decided to go for it. He would win her over! Miriam didn’t make it easy though because who wants to ruin a good friendship & make things weird? Matthew saw it as a challenge and decided there was no way he would take “no” for an answer.
Eventually he began to get her attention. What they describe as things starting with an awkward first date in February of 2011 became a prom date and more dates. Even with all that though, Miriam wasn’t sold and actually left for the summer. Poor Matthew was left behind hoping that when she came back he could finally win her heart! The summer faded and Fall ensued and with a little more investment he did just that. She finally agreed to a relationship.
Once they started officially dating, the two quickly became inseparable. After that they made a long-distance relationship work while they went to separate colleges, got full-time jobs, and Matthew buying a house. Six years and a few challenges later they’re more in love than ever and it’s the sweetest thing. We are so excited for Matthew & Miriam and we can’t begin to explain just how thrilled we are to be a part of their journey!
