Last September, after falling in love with Portland and it’s people, Ben & Jess prayerfully made the leap and moved to Maine to start a church. With a small team that has moved here in the months since, they have been loving and serving the people of Maine with the heart to treasure Christ and make disciples. Once you meet them you can instantly see the passion they have for the people here and how their hearts are all in.
This past week Alec and I had the pleasure of meeting Ben and Jess on a mission trip with our church to minister with Centerpoint Church in Portland. After getting to talk with them and see the love these two share, I instantly knew that I wanted us to photograph them. Plus, they hadn’t had real photos of them taken in 13 years! On top of it all, Maine is absolutely stunning with it’s old architecture, the water, and it’s incredible sunsets; so take Maine and add in these two… it was photographer heaven!
Ben & Jess are the sweetest, most genuine couple with a deep love for the Lord and for one another. If you were to just look at them without knowing their story and observe how they love one another, you would never know that they’ve been married for 13 years! They acted like a newly married couple filled with so much excitement. It made photographing them so easy as they naturally brought out the best in each other. I hope you love their incredible downtown Portland anniversary session and the joy these two are sure to bring you!
