Life Lately: June 2016

Hey y’all,
This month is a month of pure business. We just shot our two weddings for June early and took the rest off to edit all our awesome sessions (like, a lot of editing… a whooolllleee lot of editing), re-assess our business plan for this year, and to prepare for an insanely busy fall/winter wedding season (winter is even busier than Spring for us this year, how nuts is that?!)! That means that we’ll be spending a lot more time behind the scenes, but believe me when I tell you we’ll be busier than ever as we ramp up for Fall and plan some amazing new adventures for Katie & Alec Photography. We’ve also got some big surprises to announce this winter that we’re working on now, and no, we aren’t “expecting.”
We’ll be kicking it all of by spending my birthday weekend (June 17th) at the beach relaxing, heading home for a short while and finish up our editing/prep, and then for ten days in July we’ll be leaving Birmingham and heading out with Alec’s day job to a small church in Maine! We’ll be there documenting the work of the church Alec works for while they have students and families on mission with a sister-church in Maine. We’re so excited and will be checking off a few bucket list items by taking a brief detour to Boston, and checking out some amazing state parks. If you have any ideas or suggestions for this trip we would love your input!
Thanks for being so amazing and coming here to our blog and caring about what God is doing in our lives. I am so honored and I know Alec is too. It’s you amazing people who make what we do so much fun and who encourage us to keep pressing onward. As always, we’ll definitely be keeping you update about what’s going on in future “life lately” posts.
