Dillon & Chelsea’s wedding day was simply perfect. In so many ways, the day turned out great for their Christmas-themed wedding. I loved every little detail of it from the mistletoe that they kissed under after they sealed their vows, down to their hot cocoa bar at the reception. It was a holiday dream come true! It was also Dillon & Chelsea’s dream come to life.
The day started out cold and overcast, which fit the Christmas theme by bringing the feel of winter to Alabama. Christmas music played in the bridal suite as Chelsea and her girls got ready. It was an atmosphere filled with joy and holiday cheer! Chelsea was beaming from the moment she stepped into her gorgeous Allure dress. I don’t think she could have looked any more beautiful, and I obvious that her groom agreed.
By the time we started their portraits, it began to rain. Some couples would have freaked out, but not Dillon & Chelsea. They faced the rain with joy, and it didn’t stop them for a single moment. They rocked their portraits like pros, and their photos turned out beautiful! I love that we got to use our adorable umbrellas. It just made them even cuter. Their bridal party looked phenomenal with the most beautiful purple gowns and dapper suits. We’re still swooning over here!
As a whole, their day could not have gone smoother, a big thanks to Posh Occasions by Sheriah. The ceremony was short and simple, in the Chapel at Stonebridge Farms. The most memorable part of the evening was the reception. At the beginning of the day, Alec jokingly Chelsea asked who would be the person to look especially silly on the dance floor. She let out a sigh and told us it would be her dad. She was 100% correct! Her father danced not stop, with some of the best and funniest moves that we’ve ever seen! It had me cracking up! However, he couldn’t be any more graceful during the father-daughter dance. Chelsea and her dad clung to each other. You could see on his face how much he loves his little girl. I’ll be honest, it takes a lot to make me cry. However, their dance had the tears flowing freely. Behind them were Dillon and his mom hugging each other as she cried. It couldn’t have been any sweeter.
I want to say “congrats” to the new Mr. & Mrs. Dean!! Alec & I hope that the two of your have a blast in California and create some amazing memories!! We pray that this is just the start of an incredibly long and blessed union.
Blessings,
Katie
