To say I am excited to have Spencer & Sydney on the blog today is a bit of an understatement! Alec and I don’t ever get to take senior portraits because we specialize in wedding photography, but this session was a special case for us. Spencer is Alec’s younger cousin and y’all, he’s getting ready to graduate! We can barely believe that he’s looking into colleges, prepping for AP exams, and so grown up. We knew that we had to do something special to document such an exciting time in his life and senior portraits became a must. What made his shoot even more fun was that we also got to work with his sweet girlfriend, Sydney! She is absolutely adorable and has the sweetest personality. Put them together, and they’re just one big ball of cuteness!
It was so much fun mixing things up and using our creativity to a different area of photography, especially in the middle of wedding season. It was refreshing and helped us get warmed up for our double wedding weekend. We also took a few photos of them together, because at heart we’ll always be wedding photographers first and foremost!
Spencer & Sydney met us Downtown and we adventured around Railroad Park. We caught up on life and enjoyed the city. As we walked between locations, we talked about everything from the colleges they are looking into to what classes they’re currently taking. We covered it all! They’ve both been accepted to some really great schools! Spencer has been accepted to UAB, and Alec and I are secretly hoping he’ll end up there. We may be a little biased as UAB alumni and Blazers at heart! We honestly know that wherever these two end up, that they will love college and thrive!
