Richard & Jessica’s wedding day will be one that Alec and I talk about for a long time to come. Their entire day was drop-dead gorgeous, from Jessica’s perfectly paired details to the jaw-dropping sanctuary they were married in. Beyond that, they were surrounded by family & friends who fiercely love them. Every family member that we talked with gushed over how thankful they are that Richard & Jessica found each other. There’s good reason for it too, because they really are quite the pair! We can testify to the was that they bring each other to life in new ways, how they love one another deeply, and how they exude joy together.
Their wedding was in so many ways an expression of the two becoming one. Elements that represented both of them beautifully came together to make the most beautiful day. The one thing that really stood out to Alec and me was how many personal details they packed into their wedding day. During their ceremony they gifted one another with their family heirlooms. A Bible from Jessica’s grandparents & the outfit Richard wore for his christening so their future children can wear it as a legacy. Another personal touch they added was the florals that were all designed by Jessica’s uncle. He was a florist over 20 years ago and came out of retirement just to serve them. He outdid himself, if I do say so myself! My favorite thing about their flowers was Jessica’s bouquet. It was accented with gold & silver broaches, ones that she received every year on her birthday since she was a child. Talk about the perfect, personal touch! It also added the touch of glam that Jessica wanted for her big day.
On top of all this, Richard & Jessica even made their own wedding cake! That’s right, the gorgeous cake design you’ll see in this blog was their own creation. They took a class a while back and put their new skills to good use. We still can’t believe how beautiful it turned out! Also, both Jessica and I love black & white images, so be prepared for a few more than we normally would share. I just couldn’t help myself this time around. I really can’t do the day justice with words, so without any further ado, I’d love to present to you this gorgeous glam wedding!
Blessings,
Katie
