Meet the Duffee’s: A Classic B&A Warehouse Wedding

Of all the weddings we have shot, we both agree that we’ve never seen a couple both smile quite this much! From the very start to the very end a huge, gorgeous grin was plastered on Cayce’s face and Duvergne too (except for the moments when he was inevitably making silly faces to keep that smile on Cayce’s). They really light one another up when they’re together and it’s beautiful. More than that, they have a way of making the people around them feel the very same way.

Their day was such a perfect representation of the balance in their relationship. Cayce is more reserved, gentle, smart, and incredibly kind. Duvergne is the life of the party, friendly as can be and always up for bringing a smile to someone’s face. Their wedding played out in much the same way. It had Cayce’s signature thoughtfulness & creativity with the beautiful candle-lit ceremony, family style dinner, and the handwritten notes for each of their guests. Duvergne kept things lively with his incredible toast to his bride, and the way he floated around the room making sure each of his guests felt loved.

What struck us the most from their wedding day was the prayer that went behind it all. As if all the reasons we listed above weren’t enough to make it completely amazing. The moment it hit us most was when Duvergne gave his unexpected toast to Cayce. He pulled out a faded old legal pad and began to recollect the many years he had prayed for a woman like Cayce. Years that he thought he might never have the honor of marriage.

As everyone in the room leaned forward to hear what he had to say, he shared a journal entry from his sophmore year of college. He had laid out specifics he prayed to find in his future wife, and asked God to wait until the timing was perfect. Every single detail he prayed for is the woman that Cayce is through-and-through. It was such an honor hearing their story and how he patiently waited for his sweet bride.
