Up at the top of Red Mountain, here in Birmingham, stands the iconic Vulcan statue. It’s a staple Birmingham lookout and there’s good reason for it. For Hayden & Shannon, its a place that holds a special spot in their hearts.
When they first started dating they ended up in this very spot, not knowing what it held in store for them. It was up at the lookout that they took their very first photo together that night. So, when Hayden took her back there again, long after that first date, Shannon thought nothing of it. It was just a sweet time to remind each other of their history. There they relived their favorite memories & talked back and forth about how far they’d come together.
As they made their way up to the lookout again, he led her to the very spot they took that first picture together. That’s when things changed… It was there where he got down on one knee and asked her to spend her forever with him!! It was a full-circle moment in their lives.
How sweet!? We love the intentionality he had in creating a moment so special & thought out. Now, that spot will forever be etched in their memories as one of their favorite places!
When they mentioned heading to Vulcan Park for their engagement photos we were all in!! We have to say, getting to take photos of them there was so special for us. Being able to take that next photo of them in their favorite spot and in a new place in their relationship isn’t something we take lightly. We know that these photos will be a part of a long legacy of love between them and hopefully remind them of that for the rest of their lives!
