We love it when we get to hear the groom tell the proposal story! There is something so sweet about it because they aren’t used to telling it. Normally, when someone asks the bride always goes right into every little detail with sheer joy! When the groom tells the story, it always tends to be more to-the-point and simple in a sweet way. Normally, it makes us giggle! So, we always make it a goal to ask the groom, which we did with Emily & Andrew. Without any further ado, the proposal story from Andrew’s point of view:
“We went out for dinner and then for dessert (always Emily’s favorite). Then we walked across the street to Forest Park, which can be seen from our apartment window. It was around sunset when we came to a nice hill. So I dropped to a knee, and she turned around and took the ring out of my hand before I could say a word. She exclaimed, “ooh pretty” and put the ring on her own finger.”
Isn’t that so sweet? Hearing what stuck out to him makes us smile! Especially the part where Emily got so excited she took the ring & put it on her own finger! For these two, the proposal fit them to a tee. They’re so darned sweet, funny & love laughing together. We can just picture the moment Andrew watched Emily put the ring on her own finger and him laughing inside.
As soon as Emily & Andrew showed up we were wowed by how good these two looked!! Her stunning pleated purple maxi dress was definitely a show stopper! Plus, Andrew complimented her look perfectly with his dapper looking suit! There is just something so amazing when a couple dresses up for their photos. These two are the perfect example of that!
We absolutely cannot wait to cheer Emily & Andrew on as they get married! Their wedding day is going to be here before we know it! They’re getting married this April at the gorgeous B&A Warehouse in downtown Birmingham! It is definitely going to be an amazing day!
