Okay, to be honest, this may be the hardest blog post I have ever written. In the past month Alec and I have both had the opportunity to shoot really special sessions for family members. This senior session was no exception! Samantha is our incredible assistant who joins us on every wedding day, but she is also my oldest cousin. I have watched her grow up from a sassy, hilarious little kid into an intelligent, kind young woman. She’s one of my best friends, and it’s such a joy to be around her… Okay, I am definitely crying now!
She’s finishing up her last year at Helena High School and will graduate this May. How she has grown up so quickly and is getting ready to go to college, we don’t know. We’re just so excited for her though as she is getting ready to go to Alabama in the Fall! The first words she ever said (debatable in our family, but I assure you I am right) were no joke “rollllll tideeee!” She’s literally been raised for this moment and Alabama better watch out, because they’re about to have their hands full! Haha!
Her dream is to become a forensic psychologist, so she has a whole lot more school ahead of her. One of her strengths is her dedication and ability to put in the hard work so we know she can easily make it happen! Plus, I am a *little* excited she wants to go study bad guys. The crime junkie in me is very, very proud!
Samantha, I would say more but you know how I get. I love you, I am proud of you, and I seriously can’t wait to see what God does in your life. We’re sad you’ll be moving away but you know you always have a friend in me 🙂 From Alec, ROLL TIDE!!!
