The first week of your Freshman year at college is a crazy week. Moving into your dorm, starting classes, and getting to make new friends with so many other new experiences makes it a blur. For Faith & Eli, the first week of college during our freshman year at the University of Alabama was one they’d never forget. It was the week that their paths would cross and their lives would never be the same again.
As Faith was walking to class one night, she passed by a childhood friend, Jared. They stopped to talk for a few minutes and Jared asked where she was going. When she responded that she was on her way to her Human Development class he immediately got excited. He told her all about his new friend Eli who happened to be in that class with her. Jared told her what Eli looked like and said that she should talk to him.
Once she got to class and sat down, she realized she sat behind this Eli she had heard about from Jared. A few minutes passed before she finally had enough courage to tap him on his shoulder. He turned around and she asked, “Hey, is your name Eli?” and he said yes. After class, they walked back to the dorm rooms together and got to know each other a little. That short walk led them to discover they had so much in common and ended up with them exchanging Snapchat info. From there, the rest is history!
Now they’re in their senior year at the University of Alabama and prepping for graduation and a wedding. We loved that they chose to have their engagement photos taken on the campus right where they’ve fallen in love and built their lives together. Getting to explore their favorite spots from the quad to the building they met at was just so special. They’re truly the kindest, most gentle, and loving couple. It’s so clear to us why these two clicked so quickly and that they’re clearly an incredible couple.
We absolutely cannot wait to celebrate these two again for their wedding day at The Barn at Shady Lane! It’s going to be such a joy to get to watch them finally become Mr. & Mrs.
