This year has been full of uncertainty, heartbreak, and unexpected changes. All of us have lost something whether it was a trip we had planned or a job. In Kimberly’s case, it was getting to walk at graduation for her doctorate.
After so many years of hard work and classes, she found her graduation rescheduled 5 times. Even now she doesn’t know if it will ever get to happen for her. She didn’t let it get her down. Instead, she reached out and asked to do a celebratory session with us! She wanted to get photos in her cap and gown and she also wanted those special photos with her family she would have gotten at graduation. On top of that, the timing was great because Kimberly and her husband, Landon, just celebrated their first wedding anniversary. After being together for 4 years, it was also the first time he had been home from work for the holidays.
So, we took the fun of graduation, senior photos, and anniversary pictures and rolled them all into one session. We loved the variety we got and of course, we were extra excited meeting their adorable pups! Katie actually grew up with Kimberly and she talked the whole time they were kids about getting her own German Shepherd one day. Getting to meet her two gorgeous ones was so sweet.
Everything about this unique senior session here in Birmingham makes us so happy! From exploring Railroad Park to our favorite location overlooking the city, it was gorgeous! Our favorite part though was getting to celebrate Kimberly’s accomplishments and her anniversary. She worked so hard to earn her PHD in Statistics and Research and she deserved to be celebrated. What a joy it is to be able to be a part of these moments with her and her family!
