She and her husband Jesse were one of the couples who were first impacted by the pandemic. Their wedding was set to take place in March right when the US shutdowns began. Incredibly, they chose to put their marriage first and still eloped, postponing indefinitely their big wedding plans. We can say from watching our couples go through this first hand, it was a gut-wrenching decision to make. Ultimately, it’s one that we know makes them stronger and that truly shows their commitment to their marriage.
With everything still being so uncertain, they decided to forgo the large wedding day altogether. Instead, they wanted to celebrate their anniversary with husband-&-wife photos. That gorgeous wedding dress of her’s definitely needed to have its moment! So, we set up a date and made it happen.
We’re so thankful we got to celebrate the Stanleys! There might not have been a bridal party or reception, but they had so many incredible moments together. Both of them came all dolled up in their wedding attire (and looked DANG good if we say so ourselves). They got to do an intimate first look and spent the afternoon exploring the Birmingham Botanical Gardens for photos.
A few of our favorite moments we got to witness was how nervous Jesse got before their first look. Those butterflies were so obvious and so sweet! We also loved Madalyn’s stunning bridal look. The lace on her wedding dress is a definite favorite, and we always love a good veil! More than anything though, we love that they chose to celebrate their marriage with photos! We know they’ll look back and be so thankful they took the time to do it. The laughter, the nerves, the joy were all so evident in them.
Madalyn & Jesse, it was such an honor to get to work with you both. We’re so in awe of your tenacity, how you’ve navigated such a difficult time, and how you place so much importance on your relationship. Cheers to a lifetime of love and happiness together as the Stanleys!
