Thanks to a tropical depression, the day Will had painstakingly chosen and planned to propose on called for rain. Looking at the weather radar it was unavoidable, it was coming for Birmingham. We reached out to game plan with Will and see if he wanted to reschedule. His words to us were so sure and sweet… He said, “I know Jordan won’t care if it rains, I just want to be engaged to her.”
Deep down he knew he couldn’t wait and he didn’t want her to wait another minute either! He had a gorgeous ring, her family’s blessing, and everything lined up. So, we carried on and met him at Sibyl Temple.
As we waited in the bushes for her to show up we could see how nervous and excited Will was as he paced around. The moment she took that last step up, Jordan’s face said it all! Will gently grabbed her by the hand and led her to the center of Sibyl Temple where he got down on one knee. The joy they both felt was visible as he slipped her engagement ring on her finger! It was the moment they had both been waiting for.
Thankfully, the rain held off until the ring was on her finger! Moments later though, it started downpouring. We snuck in as many photos as we could before the two of them were soaked and giggling about the weather. It was just like Will had said, Jordan was so excited to be his fiance that the rain never phased her!
Next week, we’ll be sharing part 2 of their proposal/engagement session. Since the rain started coming down harder and harder we decided to reschedule their mini engagement session for another day and we’re so glad we did! It was a gorgeous day you won’t want to miss!
