Scott meticulously planned every detail with intention & care. This moment was one he’d been dreaming of since he met Olivia back in high school. So, he enlisted the help of his future in-laws to make his plan a reality! They allowed him to use their backyard which is a very special place to Scott & Olivia. They have had so many talks, date nights, & sweet memories formed in that very spot. It was the perfect background for him to propose!
He got to work & painstakingly built the pallet structure, printed his favorite photos of the two of them, & spent the entire day making sure it looked perfect for her. With the ring box tucked safely away, he paced back & forth as he waited. She thought they would be going out to dinner after she got home from babysitting a family member. Little did she know that it was all a ruse. From the babysitting to the dinner plans none of it was real. Everyone in her family was in on the surprise!
When she showed up they told her her new kitten had scratched up their patio screens so she went out to investigate. That’s when she caught sight of Scott & instantly knew what was happening. Her facial reactions were so adorable & she was overtaken by a mix of shock & joy! Right there in her parent’s back yard he got down on one knee & popped the question she’s been long awaiting.
Everything about their proposal was a dream! We have to make a special mention of her gorgeous emerald-cut engagement ring! Olivia actually works for Diamond’s Direct here in Birmingham so she knew exactly what she wanted. Working at a high-end jewelry store definitely has its perks!
We’re so excited to say we are Scott & Olivia’s wedding photographers now!! The fact that we’ll get to document so many important memories for them means the world to us. So, cheers to them and cheers to their incredible future together!! We can’t wait to watch them grow through this next season of life together!
