Birmingham, Alabama is home to so many gorgeous wedding venues! As you’re researching them all it may feel overwhelming. Today, we’ll be sharing our favorite Birmingham wedding venues that offer both ceremony and reception locations in one place. We’ll also be sharing extra amenities they offer and things our K&A couples love about each venue.
Oak Meadow Event Center
We love this gorgeous, all-white venue! It is right outside the Birmingham area in Ohatchee. It’s got a modern farmhouse feel to it and a ton of wonderful amenities. It has a spacious bridal suite upstairs with a shower, hair and makeup station for multiple people, and a private groom’s suite downstairs. They even have a room for you to sit and have your private meal away from guests. You can also choose from an indoor or outdoor ceremony. Plus, their team is genuinely the best!
Hamilton Place at Pursell Farms
A prime spot for destination and luxury weddings, Hamilton Place at Pursell Farms is a dream! They have a gorgeous property with a golf course, clay shooting, a spa, and even a hotel for your guests to stay on site. Hamilton Place at Pursell Farms is nestled away in the foothills of Alabama out in Sylacauga. It offers gorgeous views, a beautiful outdoor ceremony space, and one of the most gorgeous reception halls around. They also offer catering.
The Sonnet House
The Sonnet House is another light & airy dream! It’s located out in Leeds and feels so private out in the countryside. The wrap-around porch is a gorgeous focal point alongside their iconic string lights out back. The best part is they offer both multiple outdoor ceremony locations as well as an indoor location in case of rain. They even offer an in-house florist. You can also do your reception indoors and outdoors. There’s a reason this venue has won Best In Birmingham again and again!

Mathew’s Manor
Mathews Manor is a unique property! They offer tons of choices for wedding ceremonies and reception venues. They have Grace Hall, Rebecca’s Garden, and Micah’s Meadow. Choose from indoor or outdoor spaces that range from classic all-white options to a more rustic barn feel. Another huge perk is that Mathews Manor offers delicious catering, an in-house florist, and tons of gorgeous rentals. They also have beautiful bridal and groom suites on site.
Vestavia Country Club
Looking for a golf course wedding? Vestavia Country Club is a gorgeous option! They offer incredible views, delicious catering, and a beautiful ballroom with giant chandeliers. It’s right in the heart of Vestavia towards downtown Birmingham which makes it so close to so many nearby hotels for your guests.
The Florentine Building
This historic Birmingham building brings in a little touch of Europe. With pale blue ceilings, tons of windows, and gorgeous chandeliers it’s a stunning ballroom. They offer two unique locations with an upstairs and downstairs space. Another perk is they handle catering and have an in-house florist for you. Plus, since they’re in the heart of downtown Birmingham they’re close to a ton of unique photo locations!
Birmingham Botanical Gardens
The Birmingham Botanical Gardens is known for its gorgeous plants, walking trails, and its location here in Birmingham. While it is more well known as a ceremony space, they do in fact offer a reception venue as well. No matter the season it’s always beautiful. Plus, there are multiple ceremony locations like the Rose Garden and Reflecting Pool. It is also right across the street from the gorgeous Grand Bohemian Hotel for your guests to stay. There’s also a lot of bars, restaurants, and coffee shops all within walking distance.
Windwood Equestrian Center
Out in the suburbs of Birmingham, Windwood Equestrian is a unique wedding venue. It’s a functioning barn with tons of beautiful horses and it’s so well-kept. Our favorite part about this venue is how private and secluded it is. Plus, it has a truly stunning reception space with a large covered stage, functioning fireplace, and water fountain that is gorgeous. You’ll be wowed when you drive up to this stunning venue!
Camelot Manor
We love this classic Southern-style home. The giant wrap-around porch makes it feel so quintessentially southern. It offers a covered outdoor ceremony and reception space, with room for food service inside, a bridal and groom’s suite, and a beautiful field next door for photos. We love how light and bright it is!
Mountain Brook Club
This is another gorgeous golf course venue. It’s a magnificent design that makes a nod to a historic European charm. Their grand ballroom is a little dated but fits well with the historic feel. The best part is it has a ceremony space on-site that overlooks the golf course below. It does feel extra luxurious as it’s nestled inside one of Birmingham’s most gorgeous neighborhoods.
The Theodore
Looking for an industrial chic wedding venue in Birmingham? This is it! It’s also a huge space with a great getting-ready suite on site. You can accommodate so many guests here which is the main draw. It also has a built-in bar, and a back patio for guests to enjoy.
Vulcan Park & Museum
Tax-deductible, epic views of Birmingham, and unlimited trips for your guests to the top of Vulcan? Yes, please! Vulcan Park & Museum is an incredible jewel downtown. Since it’s a non-profit museum your venue fees are tax-deductible. The space is so gorgeous too and so unique for a Birmingham wedding venue. We will say, the reception space indoors isn’t huge so make sure you know your guest count before you look here.
Bridgestreet Gallery & Loft
This Birmingham wedding venue is so dreamy! It’s industrial-chic while still being light and airy. It is located right in the heart of the city. With white brick walls, two stories (which means two separate spaces for ceremony and reception), and an in-house bridal suite it is gorgeous. It’s also close to a ton of Birmingham photo locations for you to use for couple’s photos.
Park Crest
You would probably never guess that this venue is right off of highway 31 in Hoover! It offers two separate indoor spaces and a gorgeous outdoor ceremony site. The downstairs feels a little more industrial and the upstairs a little more classic. It’s a huge, spacious venue that can contain a large guest count.
The Barn at Shady Lane
This is another Best in Birmingham wedding venue winner regularly. The family that built the Barn at Shady Lane is so kind and has done an incredible job making it a stunning wedding venue. They call it the premiere country venue in the city because that’s exactly what it is. They’ve got a beautiful pergola outside for outdoor ceremonies, or you can host your ceremony inside and flip the space for your reception. Recently, they’re done several additions to expand their space to accommodate a higher guest count. With a beautiful outdoor patio, the main barn, and the addition it is huge!
