Y’all, today’s engagement session is one of our favorites! Yes, it’s because this couple is beautiful and made for gorgeous photos, but more because of how kind and wonderful they are. Josh & Caroline are phenomenal humans, and we’re so thrilled to be their wedding photographers and to get to know them.
Caroline & Josh had a beautiful, sunny day for their engagement photos in downtown Birmingham. They wanted something a little different from most of our sessions. Yes, they wanted the classic, formal engagement photos for save-the-dates and as sweet memories, but they also wanted photos that truly felt like them. So, we jumped from our favorite marble church over to Good People Brewing for a few Happy Hour photos! We love that they wanted to have fun on their session, and grabbing a couple of beers just felt right for them.
Honestly, their session wasn’t even the best part of the day, although it was truly incredible. Afterward, they invited us to go to dinner with them, and we spent so much more time getting to really know them. They’re so kind, hilarious, and just a wonderful couple. It was an honor to hear stories about their relationship and see what they’re like in a more laid-back setting. They’ve got amazing personalities and a rock solid relationship built on so much love and respect for one another.
Words can’t express just how excited we are to celebrate them this May at the Barn at Shady Lane! From what they’ve told us, it will be an epic celebration full of beautiful colors and stunning details. We’re counting down the days until their wedding gets here!
