It’s time for our favorite blog of the year: our favorite engagement and wedding photos from 2023! This year was monumental for us in so many ways, from adding a wedding video as a new service (YAY!!) to starting a massive rebrand that will be coming soon. It felt like the year that our business took things up another notch, and it was wild to watch it grow up with us. We served 23 couples on their wedding day, including 6 wedding videos, as well as dozens of other shoots, from proposals to engagement sessions.
There were so many favorite moments from 2023 that this blog is definitely a beast. Just wait until you see all the precious first looks, fun bridal parties, and precious couples. We were a tiny bit (okay, very) emotional working through them all to narrow them down. Every year writing this blog post just reminds us that we have the best job ever and that we get to work with the most joyful, kind, generous, and fun people.
Our favorite trend we saw this year that we could happily photograph again and again is bright colors! We had so many brides add bold pinks, blues, oranges, and yellows into their colors. It was so refreshing to have fun colors to work with, as well as gorgeous textures like velvet.
This year, we were so blessed to be back at some of our favorite venues, including the Sonnet House, Oak Meadow Event Center, Hamilton Place at Pursell Farms, Otter Creek Farmstead and Distillery, Ridgepointe Events, and the Barn at Shady Lane! Getting to work with such talented vendor teams and incredible venues is always something we are so thankful for and this past year was no exception. We truly work with the best of the best!
We also got to travel for a few of our weddings to spots like the Quoge Field Club on Long Island, New Jersey, and Howe Farms in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It’s always an honor to be asked to travel for weddings and trusted with new locations.
To all the incredible K+A couples who trusted us with their wedding photos and videos, thank you so much. You make what we do worthwhile and bring so much joy to our lives. It was an honor to serve you, and we can’t wait to see what God does in and through your marriages. The best days are ahead of you! We love you all so much, and 2023 wouldn’t have been nearly as amazing without you! Now, we can’t wait to see what 2024 holds for us! It has a lot to live up to!
Blessings,
Katie & Alec
One of our all-time favorite shots!
Give us all the blue and white weddings!!
The sweetest father-daughter first look!
This year, we had so many precious grooms who showed us just how loving and kind they can be! Such a sweet first look.
The candid shot on the left is one of our favorites from this year! The bride saw the bus of guests start to pull up early and ran to safety. Who else could look like a princess while running to hide?!
Here’s to more emotional, love-filled first looks. This family’s first look was so special!
Why yes, this bride did do a first look with her groomsmen just to Ice them, haha!
Why yes, our couples are the coolest!! Cella here loves giraffes, so with a wedding at the Birmingham Zoo meant she had to have them make an appearance!

The reaction every bride dreams of!
The secret place at Pursell Farms will always be one of our favorite spots to shoot at!
Thankful doesn’t even begin to describe how we feel about the incredible couples we got to serve in 2023.
