2024, you were so, so good to us!
With the year drawing to a close, it’s time for our favorite blog post, which we do annually, our best of weddings and engagements! As per usual, narrowing down our favorites was nearly impossible. We started with well over 1500 images and slowly whittled it away (not including any family, newborn, senior, or maternity photos from the dozens of those sessions we did this year. It’s a great problem to have, though, because we truly loved so many happy, tearful, fun, and emotional moments from each wedding.
This year, we paired back from the 20+ weddings we’ve taken each year since 2014 to just shooting 17 wedding days. It was a tough decision to make, but in the end, we wanted to give each couple more attention and to be able to enjoy each one more because we came in rested and ready. Instead of taking on more travel days, we picked our favorite venues to work at and chose weddings that excited us to go to work. Truly, it represented a year of change for us in the best of ways!
We got to work at some of our favorite local venues, like the Barn at Shady Lane, Oak Meadow Event Center, and Ridgepointe Events Venue, as well as travel to new ones. It was our first year getting to shoot at Rockledge Terrace in Northern Alabama, which we are officially obsessed with! Not to mention the incredible travel weddings we went to, from Aspen Ranch in Oklahoma City down to Little Point Clear in Fairhope, Alabama, and even to Kansas City. It was an honor working at so many beautiful spaces and alongside vendor teams who work so hard to serve their couples above and beyond what they’re called to!
Our couples this year were so much fun, and they taught us so much about joy in the face of adversity, what putting marriage first looks like, and living in the moment. We had the honor of working with so many people from different places in the country, and even families/past bridal party members we’ve worked with before.
To every couple who trusted us with their wedding and engagement photos in 2024, thank you. Words can never express what a blessing you are in our lives and how much it means to us. We pray that your photos encourage your marriage, capture your family legacy, and provide you with the most special memories that last you a lifetime. We love you more than you know and will always cheer you on!
We can’t wait to see the Lord’s goodness in store for our business and couples in 2025. If 2024 was any indication, it will be one to remember!
Blessings,
Katie & Alec
Sam surprised Cameron by visiting his recently passed Grandmother while she was still in the hospital. She wore her wedding dress so she could help her feel like she was a part of their wedding day. Hands down, the most thoughtful gift.
2024 included some of the most incredible receptions we have ever seen!!
Champagne towers will always be a “yes” from us!
Y’all, please include more champagne pops for engagement sessions in 2025!
This sweet little flower girl cried like crazy when she got a matching bracelet as a gift from her auntie!
Shooting inside Regions Park, where Adeline + Wesley met, was so special!
