Brooklyn and Benjamin’s engagement session at Cheaha State Park in Alabama was nothing short of magical. Their joy, kindness, and chemistry are evident in every photo. Brooklyn and Benjamin first crossed paths under unusual circumstances. Both were connected to the same physician but in different roles—Brooklyn managing one of the doctor’s clinics and Benjamin conducting orthopedic research. When the pandemic struck, the clinic became one of Alabama’s first COVID-19 testing sites, and their lives intertwined. During a whirlwind first week of testing, Benjamin’s decision to fist-bump instead of shake hands made an indelible first impression on Brooklyn.
Long hours at the testing site forged a fast friendship. They worked together by day and texted or FaceTimed long into the evenings. When Brooklyn finally mustered the courage to invite Benjamin to hang out in Tuscaloosa, her nervousness melted away by the time Benjamin asked for their first kiss.
As we captured their engagement photos, it was easy to see how deeply they care for each other.
