Caden’s 18th birthday was life-changing in the way only teenagers can dream of. 18 years old feels like a monumental shift in life, so his birthday party was a celebration of something huge. It had been a day he’d been looking forward to, and the night of the party was finally there. Little did he know, he’d have a party crasher, Madelyn!
It was instant, they hit it off, and the next day he asked her out, and they’ve been together ever since. What started out as love at first sight has grown deep roots in friendship, experience, and time. From high school sweethearts to fiancés, their story is truly the sweetest. Seriously, think of how many rom-coms and books are written about stories like theirs…
Needless to say, their engagement session was a beautiful celebration of their relationship. Being engaged is such a short season in life, but one that deserves its own moment to slow down and document the joy. Madelyn + Caden had the most gorgeous day in downtown Birmingham. 60 degrees and sunny in February is more than we could have asked for! After a bout of cold, dreary weather, their session felt like a breath of fresh spring air blowing into town.
It was so much fun finally getting to meet them in person. They’re so stinking sweet and are so lovely to hang out with. As we took photos, we talked about their wedding day, the movies we all love, deep thoughts on Valentine’s Day, whether to celebrate it, and so much more. It felt like being with old friends.
We can’t wait for their wedding day at Matthew’s Manor this October! From what they’ve told us, it’s going to be such a sweet day celebrating them with gorgeous details! Until then, we hope you love their engagement photos as much as we do, which is an awful lot!
