Aldridge Gardens was full of soft summer light, lush greenery, and cute, friendly ducks wandering around the property. It was the perfect setting for Caroline and Garrison’s engagement session, especially since they wanted somewhere more unique than the typical Birmingham hotspots.
From the moment we started exploring the gardens, these two were so natural together. Whether they were laughing as Garrison twirled Caroline beneath the vine-covered arbor or sharing a quiet moment by the lake, every part of their session reflected how comfortable they are with each other.
Their story is just as sweet as the photos. Caroline works with Garrison’s stepmom’s “bonus” mom, who had apparently been playing matchmaker behind the scenes for months before Garrison finally reached out.
Their first date wasn’t exactly traditional—he came over to help hang curtains at Caroline’s apartment. When they realized they had waited too late to grab dinner, Garrison handed her his phone to search for restaurants that were still open. Instead, she found YouTube pulled up with a tutorial on “how to hang curtains,” and it’s been an inside joke ever since.
It’s the little ways they complement each other and fit personality-wise that make them stand out; well, besides them being gorgeous together!. It’s so obvious that they are one of those couples that just make sense together. They’re kind, spend a ton of time laughing together, and call out the best in one another (even if that’s telling Garrison to use his real smile so his mom loves the photos a little more).
Their wedding is happening next April at the beautiful Witt House, and we couldn’t be more excited! If it’s anything like their engagement session, it’s going to be such a sweet and stunning event!
