Jake and Braylee wanted their engagement session to blend classy, marble architecture with a natural field, two very different aesthetics. We’d say they nailed it perfectly and had a stunning engagement session, even with the brutal Alabama heat. You know a couple looks this good in real life when they’re showing up in 90-degree weather and still look amazing!
We actually met Jake and Braylee when we shot their proposal at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Jake pulled off the sweetest surprise with a nice dinner followed by an inspirational walk through the gardens. He told her he wanted them to find flowers they loved to use at their home together. In the back of the gardens, in between all the flowers and greenery, he got down on one knee.
She clearly said “yes,” and now they’re planning to be together forever. Their wedding will be at the stunning Windwood Equestrian Center next March, and we cannot wait! There’s something so special about an early spring wedding, and with these two it will be even more magical. Especially at Windwood. If you’ve never seen it, you need to as soon as possible!
It’s so exciting to capture another step in their journey together. Next up, wedding day!
