Birmingham, AL Fall Family Mini Sessions Are Here 🍂

Fall is one of our favorite times for family photos. The cooler weather, warm colors, and beautiful light make it the perfect season to slow down for a few minutes and get everyone together in front of the camera. Fall mini sessions are a simple way to update your family photos without committing to a full session. They’re great for growing families, little ones with short attention spans, updated photos for your home, and of course, Christmas cards and holiday gifts. You don’t need to worry about everyone being perfectly posed or the kids giving me their “best smile” the entire time. Some of my favorite photos happen in between—when everyone relaxes, laughs, cuddles, and just enjoys being together. These are the photos that end up meaning the most.

What to Wear for Fall Family Photos

Wondering what to wear? Keep it simple! Neutral, earthy colors and coordinating outfits photograph beautifully in the fall. Think creams, browns, olive, denim, rust, muted blues, and warm tones. Instead of everyone matching exactly, choose colors that work well together and add a few different textures or layers. Most importantly, wear something you feel comfortable in. Your photos should look and feel like your family, not like everyone was dressed for a costume. Once the outfits are figured out, all you have to do is show up and enjoy your family—I’ll take care of the photos.
