Graduation was just around the corner, and everyone on the University of Alabama campus was buzzing with excitement. Caroline and her friends were prepping for a day of resting with a day at the pool. Sun, swimming, and relaxation were the only items on their agenda. Little did Caroline know that this pool day would change her life for the better.
Carsten and one of his best friends coincidentally had the same plan for the day. Caroline and Carsten had friends who were dating, so they ended up at the same pool. Thanks to those friends, they ended up hanging out as a group, and that’s the first time they laid eyes on one another. They didn’t think much of it in a group setting, especially with graduation just days away, but it was just the start of their relationship.
It wasn’t until after graduation that the friend group ended up hanging out at the lake on regular days all that summer. They spent that time on the water getting to know each other as friends. Caroline said that summer was so sweet!
Luckily, they both were heading back to campus for grad school and ended up becoming more than friends that year. Now, they’re fiancées getting ready to become husband and wife! We love that their story is built on friendship and time because we know it will bless their marriage immensely! They’re sweet as pie together and going to make the best team!
Our incredible associate, Elle, photographed their engagement session in Gadsden, and she loved getting to know them both even more. It’s got the whole team excited for their spring wedding next March at one of our all-time favorite wedding venues, Oak Meadow Event Center!
