Bre reached out to us when she graduated from her Masters’ program for some celebratory photos. We were elated to get to see one of our favorite KAcouples again and to hear all about their lives and marriage! Something most people don’t think about is how bittersweet a wedding day is for us. We of course love celebrating our couples, getting to watch them enter into marriage is so sacred to us. On the other hand, it’s a little sad for us because, after months of getting to know and love them, we know we may not see our couple again for a long time after their wedding. That just breaks our hearts!
We pour so much into our relationships with our couples. We pray over them, talk about them all the time, and they really feel like family to us. When we do get to photograph them again, it means the world to us!! Getting to see Bre & Daniel again was such a blessing to us and so refreshing. Hearing how they’re thriving in their marriage meant so much too.
As we walked around Railroad Park taking photos and catching up, Bre asked for us to prioritize one photo… They wanted a picture with us! Y’all, we could have cried right then on the spot, and Katie teared up. The fact they thought of us was so special. Then, Bre hit us with another emotional bomb that did make Katie cry when we got to the car. She told us she spent months with a note on her phone where she kept her review of us. She said she couldn’t bring herself to post it until she felt it was perfect… How sweet?!
Knowing our couples believe in us, trust us, and appreciate what we do brings us so much joy. It brought us even more joy knowing just how intentional they were in showing us love. We cry just thinking about it now, and we probably always will!
