Have you ever thought about how incredible it is how two people meet and fall in love? That the chances of them meeting was so slim, yet it happened and their lives are forever changed because of it? Jarrid and Natalie’s story will make you ponder on it. No one meant to set them up, in fact, how Jarrid and Natalie met wasn’t intentional at all…
They were both attending the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where he played baseball and she was on the swim team. Neither of them was even from Arkansas. She was there to swim and Jarrid played on the baseball team. One fateful night, their roommates happened to introduce them not thinking about it. It didn’t take long after they met for things to naturally progress and soon the two of them were dating.
They dated for about 4 months before she had to move back to Birmingham, Alabama to finish nursing school. Once she moved, they maintained a two-year long-distance relationship while living 7 hours apart. Natalie says, “the distance added a level of trust and communication that brought us so much closer as a couple.”
They finally moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 2016 after they both finished their undergraduate degrees! Since then, they have made Fort Worth their “home away from home” and have loved exploring the entire Dallas area. Now, they’re engaged and planning a wedding day back here in Birmingham, Alabama where Natalie grew up.
When we found out that Jarrid & Natalie flew in from Dallas just for their engagement session with us we could have cried. It means the world to us that they valued their engagement photos with us that much. They chose the perfect spot to show off the city with the gorgeous parking deck. Birmingham even showed off for them with the most gorgeous sunset!
We loved getting to hang out with them while they were here. Seriously, we can’t wait for their wedding next April at the Barn at Shady Lane! It’s going to be such a sweet celebration of an amazing couple. They’ve been through so much together and this next step will be the best one yet!
