While we were shooting details, we picked up Brooks’ ring and noticed an engraving running along the inside of the band. At the end of it, we saw 1954. That very band used to belong to Brooks’ grandfather, and now it was becoming his own. So many years of love, commitment, and marriage were witnessed by that ring. To think of the history and legacy passed down in that precious ring makes us extra sentimental. It is such a beautiful thing to see it grace the next generation. We pray that that wedding band sees another lifetime of love and joy for Payton and Brooks.
Payton & Brooks got married on a beautiful, breezy Summer day at B&A Warehouse in the heart of Birmingham, Alabama. We started the morning at the Botanical Gardens and were graced with gorgeous views! Payton didn’t want anything too flowery, which we managed to do by using one of our favorite spots in the garden. It was the perfect backdrop for their photos; we’re so glad they trusted us to use that space.
We love how they used neutral colors, acrylic, and glass to keep the day bright and airy. It was the perfect blend of styles against the industrial style of B&A Warehouse. Along with details like their custom crest and floating wedding cake, their day was stylistically so unique! It helps a lot that Payton’s mom has worked with the team at Mathew’s Manor for years which is how we met her. Their whole family is precious, and we loved getting to serve them!
Overall, we can’t say enough good things about this couple, this wedding day, or the incredible design! Payton, Brooks, and their families put so much love and care into every detail, creating an incredible experience for their guests. It is surely a day no one will forget!
Blessings,
Katie & Alec
