Katie + Brandon met with us over ice cream, and it took all of a couple of minutes for us to love them! They’re incredible! Kind, caring, and committed, we could gush on and on about them. After their engagement session, those initial impressions of them have solidified. If you know them, you love them.
The way they met is hilarious and so cute, but we couldn’t possibly do it justice, so we’ll let Katie tell the story for us:
“We met while we were both servers at Char Bar about 4 years ago. He had this long, shaggy hair and was so quiet. I, on the other hand, am loud and silly and love to make people smile. Soo naturally, I started by introducing myself in a British accent and told him I was British.. he of course, didn’t believe me. We started by picking on each other at work and then texting. For months, I didn’t want to be in a relationship because I had just moved to this new city and wanted to learn to be alone somewhere new. Well, fast forward, and I had a TERRIBLE day at work one day. I mean just awful. He randomly texted me and asked how my day was going; I responded with my tears flowing. I came home that day (with a dear friend/bridesmaid/soul sister) because she was staying with me for the weekend, to a bottle of wine with the sweetest letter, trying to cheer me up. I was done for. We became gf/bf, as the kids say, on January 11, 2020. He’s been my best friend ever since! My better half and the human I rely on most.”
Their wedding is going to be at one of our favorite venues next year, Oak Meadow Event Center. Between their amazing vendors and how wonderful they are, it is going to be one sweet, joy-filled, and gorgeous wedding day to be a part of!
Blessings,
Katie & Alec
