Engagement sessions have become more than just a trend, they’ve become something that’s more of a modern tradition. Our couples love having them done because they’re not only fun, they are super beneficial! As more and more couples embrace engagement sessions we still have people ask us on a regular basis: why do an engagement session?
Of course, you get some great photos that you can keep as life-long memories, and that’s amazing! We love having frames and canvases all over our home, especially as newlyweds. But there are also so many other reasons they’re catching on.You can also use them for save-the-dates and thank you cards for your wedding day, which is another bonus! Here’s a few more reasons why engagement sessions rock:
1. Engagement sessions get you practice with you photographer.
When you have an engagement session with your wedding photographer (which is the route we highly recommend) you get to work with them before your wedding day. When you get to work with us before your big day you get to see how we work and learn how to work with us.
2. Engagement sessions can ease your nerves.
A lot of people come nervous to their engagement session because how often do you have your photos taken by a professional? Sometimes its nerve racking. We’ve been there ourselves! Engagement sessions can help ease those feelings before your wedding day and will make you more comfortable overall!
3. You can gain confidence that will make your wedding photos better!
When you have had time in front of the camera and worked with your wedding photographer you’ll have the confidence in your ability to work well in front of the camera. This will make you so much happier and more joyful on your wedding day.
4. They are just super fun!
We love being able to meet up with our clients and to be able to discuss their lives and get to know them! One of our favorite moments in the process of our wedding experience is being able to have a day with no pressure to be able to take our time just enjoying the day and taking
Overall, we love engagement sessions! We love getting to know our couples before their big day and to get to know their love stories more. They are also just fun in general so that we can see what’s important to each couple once they begin to get the hang of things!
